We made it

Hi everyone

We just want to leave a note and let you know we arrived. We were on 1 or 2 flights that made it to Stockholm on Monday. We left Chicago at 4:25 and arrived in Stockholm at 8:00 am Sweden Time. Just a FYI Sweden is 7 hours ahead of Wisconsin. The flight was good and yes I was able to sit still for 8 1/2 hours.

When we arrived in Stockholm our flight to Östersund was cancelled. So we took the train to Östersund. The first leg of the trip left from the airport at 10:50 and took us to Sundsvall about a 3 hour trip. In Sundsvall we changed trains and took another 2 1/2 hour ride to our destination of Östersund. We arrived at about 4:30. We did not know if anyone would be there to pick us up, because all we could do was e-mail and hope they would receive it. They received our message about an hour before we arrived and there were many people there to greet us.

We had a short greetings and introductions and left with our host family's for the evening.

It was definitely a day of trains planes and automobiles.
